two
birds
the
leaders of the bird world decided they wanted to
"observe" these funny little creatures called
"humans." they called together their greatest
minds to discuss the topic. the great thinkers decided
they would assign two birds to observe the human race and report
back. the two selected decided they would spend one week
observing different human behavior, keep notes, then get
together after the week to discuss their findings, and then present
their findings to the leaders of the bird world.
on
the first day they noticed one human couple, with offspring,
hurrying around; running to and from. they noticed that
these humans spend hours running, and little time communicating.
the following are part of the notes for that day:
"it
seems to us that the adult humans are more concerned with
nothing, then with their families. they spend most of the
day in different locations alone. when they do arrive back
at the nest, they do not interact with their offspring, or each
other."
on
the second and third day, they spend observing humans with no
mates. the following is a part of their notes for that
day:
"these
mateless humans fall into tow categories. the first, ones
who are actively seeking mates. these humans gather in
flocks. it seems these flock are filled with lonely humans
who complain they have no one; not knowing what they are seeking
to find is right in front of them. the second, one who
spend a great deal of time alone, complaining they have no one,
yet they lock themselves in their nests, and do not interact
with others."
on
the fourth and fifth day they decided they would visit the down
town area of the city. the following is part of their
notes for those days:
"as
we observed the way humans lived in the city areas we were
shocked. the way humans interact with each other is
confusing. they fight and harm each other of the smallest
things. they insult each other, and they do so based on
such sill reasons - mostly because of the color of their
outsides. it would be as if one of us was to attack
another simply because we did not like the color of the others
feathers. they do not see themselves as "one
race" - they separate themselves into color groups as much
as possible. we are greatly confused by this.
another area that confuses us, and we wonder why it happens, is
the fact that many humans do not have nests! then, their
are others with nests so large they could not possibly live in
it all. they seem to treat their young strongly,
kicking them out of the nest before they can fly. we are
greatly confused by this. we have seen humans ingest
harmful foods, and other stuff, knowing that they are
harmful. we have seen humans kill, hurt, abuse and destroy
other humans. we have seen humans ignore other humans
because of what they have, or do not have. we have seen
humans do what ever they can to harm each other."
on
the sixth and seventh day, they decided to visit humans all over
the world and see how different places effect how different
humans interact. here is a part of what they found:
"we
decided to travel the world and make notes on how different
humans interact with each other. what we found, is that
they all interact the same - they are lonely, argumentative and
violent. no human flock has shown the desire to get along
with each other. each sub-flock has determine that they
are right -they have the best culture, the best language, the
best food, the best government, the best religion, the best way
of treating offspring, the best of everything. we have
found that communication between humans is almost impossible,
because each thinks they are right - and others are wrong."
on
the first day of the second week they gathered to put together
their report to the bird leaders. they gathered all their
notes and spend the better part of the week writing their finds,
and coming to a conclusion. at the end of writing the
report they gave their findings to the bird leaders. upon
the finishing of the report the bird leaders asked what was the
conclusion they reached? the following is the
conclusion"
"it
seems to us that humans must not have a God who loves and cares
for them as we have. if they do have such a God, they do
not follow His direction."
hasn't
it hit anyone. if we just followed the teaching of christ,
and stopped arguing over who got it right, we just might be
better off?

othing you can
do can change that.
3)
service is the motive of all we do. the golden rule - do
to others, and you would like to have done to you.
4)
look out for the others
5)
seek the pleasure of others.
it
is hard, but God calls us to put others first. and i know
what a great many think about that - they would agree. but
for them, they would want you to put them first.
